Fitting the Chair to the Carriage
Remove the 4 M8 x 10 Hex bolts from the seat boss on the top of the
carriage and retain.
Remove the chair from the packaging. The key for the keyswitch (11) is
attached to one of the chair arms. Remove, insert into keyswitch and turn
clockwise thru 90°.
Remove the seat base pad, this is held in place by 3 pozi bolts located on
the under-side. Remove the plastic cable cover and retain.
Inspect and ensure swivel
pin is mounted through
correct hole in swivel levers
for the current carriage. In
the opposite hole, there is a
manual stop located. The
swivel pin should locate
through the swivel lever and
into slot/hole on silver steel
block mounted in front of
swivel limit switch when chair
is placed on carriage. If not,
unscrew both the swivel pin
and manual stop and swop
there positions.
Ensure that all cables are in a position so as not to get trapped when fitting
seat to carriage.
Lower the chair onto the
swivel boss and attach to
the carriage using the 4 x
M8 x 10 Hex bolts retained
earlier. Tighten to a torque
of 20 Nm.
Swivel the chair, making sure it locks securely at either end of its travel and
the swivel interlock switch activates and releases correctly.
