● Run Diagnostics On Network
Tests the communications functions of the adapter via a network. To
perform this test, you need two networked PCs preinstalled with the FW-
100TX. Configure one PC as "Initiator", and the other PC as
"Responder".
● Run Power Management Test
This option allows you to test Wake On LAN and Magic Packet. To
perform this test, you need two networked PCs preinstalled with the FW-
100TX. Configure one PC as "Master", and the other PC as "Target".
C. Run Diagnostics
You can test the basic functions of the adapter in this option. The following
four tests can be performed.
● Run EEPROM Test
Tests the EEPROM on the FW-100TX adapter.
● Run Diagnostics On Board
Tests the following aspects of the adapter:
1. I/O Register
2. Loopback Test
If the tests pass without a problem, a "PASS" count is incremented. On the
other hand, a "FAIL" count will be incremented if an error is detected
during each test.
Note:
The Cable Connection result will be always "Fail" if no cable is attached to
the connector. Verify cable connection if Cable Connection fails
