Connect the tubing to the plumbing connections as seen from the back of the
LINX 140T system by first removing the “plugs” included for shipping. Then
push the tubing into the color-coded collets as far as possible. You should not be
able to pull them out without excessive force if installed properly
(collets
pictured without plugs on Figure 14)
:

RED: Feed water (cold water only) to the left connector

BLACK: Drain line (to the air gap, then the drain) is connected to the
second-from left connector

YELLOW: Tank to the second-from right connector

BLUE: Dedicated faucet is connected to the right connector

SILVER: Field Service Assistant (FSA) –
Not Included in Kit.
The FSA is
a hand-held device that is used for a number of functions that helps
optimize LINX system performance. It provides the technician with a
complete system diagnosis and IF service is needed, walks the technician
through the step-by-step service process. If you would like to purchase an
FSA, please call Tech Support at (866) 611.8624.
Installation – Starting Up the LINX Unit
You are now ready to start up the LINX System. The LINX system MUST be pre-conditioned. This is done by:
1. Shut off the valve on top of the tank – turn the handle perpendicular to the tubing.
2. Plug in the system into a live electrical outlet
3. Turn on the water
4. Hold the 2 black buttons on top of the PCB under the blue front panel until the lights start blinking in sequence.
5. Come back in 90 minutes and:

Open the faucet and let the water run until the “carbon fines” are clear – the water will be a “dark color” until they are.

Open the valve on top of the tank
6. The tank will fill:

This will take 6 minutes if the system is set for low TDS feedwater – below 400 parts/million

This will take 45 minutes if the system is set for high TDS feedwater
