Content playable over a network
• Even when encoded in a com p atible fo r mat, some
files may not p lay co rr ectly.
• Movie files cannot be p layed back.

selected f r om a list of r adio stations.
• Some functions may not be su pp o r ted de p ending on

About playback behavior over a network
• Playback may stall when the PC is switched off o r any
media files sto r ed on it a r e deleted while p laying
content.
• If the r e a r e pr oblems within the netwo r k envi r onment
(heavy netwo r k t r affic, etc.) content may not be
dis p layed o r p layed pr o p e r ly ( p layback may be
inte rr u p ted o r stalled). Fo r best p e r fo r mance, a
100BASE-TX connection between p laye r and PC is
r ecommended.
• If seve r al clients a r e p laying simultaneously, as the
case may be, p layback is inte rr u p ted o r stalled.
• De p ending on the secu r ity softwa r e installed on a
connected PC and the setting of such softwa r e,
netwo r k connection may be blocked.

In o r de r to be able to p lay with Home Media Galle r y, this
r eceive r must be autho r ized. This ha pp ens automatically
when the r eceive r makes a connection ove r the netwo r k
to the PC. If not, p lease autho r ize this r eceive r manually
on the PC. The autho r ization (o r p e r mission) method fo r
access va r ies de p ending on the ty p e of se r ve r cu rr ently
being connected. Fo r mo r e info r mation on autho r izing
this r eceive r , r efe r to the inst r uction manual of you r
se r ve r .

Important
• When you p lay back audio files,
‘Connecting...’
is
dis p layed befo r e p layback sta r ts. The dis p lay may
continue fo r seve r al seconds de p ending on the ty p e
of file.
• In case a domain is configu r ed in a Windows netwo r k
envi r onment, you cannot access a PC on the netwo r k
while you a r e logged onto the domain. Instead of
logging onto the domain, log onto the local machine.
• The r e a r e cases whe r e the time ela p sed may not be
co rr ectly dis p layed.
1 Set the operation selector switch to SOURCE.
2 Press HOME MEDIA GALLERY to select Home
Media Gallery as the input source.
It may take seve r al seconds fo r this r eceive r to access the
netwo r k. The following sc r een a pp ea r s when the Home
Media Galle r y is selected as the in p ut sou r ce.
The se r ve r without the ma r k cannot be accessed.
