• Some discs featu r e both Dolby Digital
and DTS soundt r acks. The r e is no analog
audio out p ut when DTS is selected. To
listen to the DTS soundt r ack, connect
this r eco r de r to a DTS decode r o r AV
am p / r eceive r with built-in DTS decode r
via the digital out p ut. See

Switching audio channels
Fo r HDD

and VR mode content r eco r ded
with bilingual audio, you can switch between
left (

) channel, r ight (

) channel, o r both

).

When p laying Video CDs and Audio CDs you
can switch between ste r eo, just the left
channel o r just the r ight channel.
Some Su p e r VCDs have two soundt r acks.
With these discs you can switch between the
two soundt
r acks as well as individual
channels in each.
• Press repeatedly to display/
switch the audio channel.

Switching camera angles
Some DVD-Video discs featu r e scenes shot
f r om two o r mo r e angles — check the disc
box fo r details: it should be ma r ked with a
icon if it contains multi-angle scenes.
When a multi-angle scene is p laying, the
same icon a pp ea r s on sc r een to let you know
that othe r angles a r e available (this can be
switched off if you pr efe r — see
Angle
Indicator
on p age 143).
• Switch the camera angle.
• The angle numbe r is dis p layed on-
sc r een.
• If the disc was p aused, p layback sta r ts
again with the new angle.

2 When p laying a bilingual r eco r ding on a VR mode disc, if you a r e listening to the Dolby Digital soundt r ack via
