Lock/Unlock video window
When you ente r the GUIDE Plus+ system,
the channel you we r e watching r emains
visible in the video window. The date stam p
above the window lets you know the channel,
date and time.
The default setting fo r this window is
‘locked’, as indicated by a closed p adlock
icon above the video window. When locked,
the video window always shows the channel
you we
r e pr eviously watching as you move
u p and down th r ough the listings g r id.
If you pr efe r , you can unlock the video
window so that as you highlight diffe r ent
channels in the listings g r id, that channel is
shown in the video window.
1 Highlight a channel logo.
Channel logos a r e dis p layed to the left of
pr og r amme titles.
2 Press the RED Action button (Unlock).
The p adlock icon above the video window
becomes unlocked. It r emains unlocked fo r
the r emainde r of you r cu rr ent TV viewing
session.
If you want to lock the video window again,
follow the same
pr ocedu r e. The RED Action
button will now act as Lock.
Channel mosaic screen
You can switch the dis p lay style of channels
in the G r id A r ea, Schedule A r ea o r My TV
A r ea f r om a list to a mosaic of channel icons
by pr essing the
YELLOW
Action button.
Select the channel icon you want using the
cu r so r buttons, then pr ess
ENTER
to r etu r n
to the pr evious sc r een on that channel.
Areas
The GUIDE Plus+
®
system consists of seven
Areas
. All A r eas can be accessed f r om the
Menu ba r .
• Grid – The GUIDE Plus+ system Home
A r ea. Dis p lays TV listings info r mation fo r
the next seven days by time and channel.
• Search – Sea r ch fo r TV pr og r ammes by
catego r y (e.g., S p o r t), subcatego r y (e.g.,
Football) o r keywo r d.
• My TV – Set u p a pr ofile and r eceive
r ecommendations acco r ding to you r
pr efe r ences.
•
Schedule
– Show all scheduled
r eco r dings.
•
Info
– A r ea fo r additional info r mation,
such as weathe r (not available in all
r egions).
•
Editor
– Change channel settings.
•
Setup
– Setu p the GUIDE Plus+
®
system.
The Grid Area
The G r id is the main TV listings sc r een of the
GUIDE Plus+ system and is the fi r st sc r een
that you see when you pr ess GUIDE . You can
see TV listings fo r the next seven days,
sta r ting with the cu rr ent day.
When you highlight a pr og r amme in the
G r id, you can see info r mation about it in the
Info r mation Box, including title, syno p sis,
channel, sou r ce, time and length. If the r e is
an
i
symbol in the Info r mation Box, it means
that the r e is an extended syno p sis available.
P r ess the
INFO
button to see it.
In some count r ies, you can also see a r ating
fo r a p a r ticula r pr og r amme (mostly movies).
These r atings a r e pr ovided by local p a r tne r s,
such as TV magazines.

listings
• Read pr og r amme syno p ses
