are once more aligned. Note the new reading
on the disc relative to the mark previously sig­
ned: the T.D.C. corresponds to the half way
mark between the two readings previously
mentioned.
6 ) - From the graduation corresponding to the T.
D. C. mark of the spark advance, corresponding
to the engine being timed ( see table at page
7) in a clockwise sense; now rotate the disc a
antidockwise so as to bring the piston in the
po$ition corresponding to said spark advance
angle.
7) - Now operating through the cut - out on the ro­
tor, shift the coil anchor plate so that the H. T.
coil extremity is positioned relative to the pole
shoe, illustrated for the various types of flywheel
in the details l) and 2) of fig. 72, according
to the dimensions indicated in said details.
Said operations is not to be carried out for the
Vespa G. S. ( battery ignition).

N. B. - For the Vespa G. S. Mod. VSB l with
flywheel magneto ignition ( without battery).
On vehicles successive to VSB l M - 003400 l
the rotor hub has been marked ( with an elec­
tric scriber) : the magnetic timing is correct
when said mark, viewed frontally along the
axis of rotation of the rotor, is aligned with
to the R. H. extremity of the H. T. coil core.

6) - Marcada sobre el disco, en sentido horario con
respecto a la graduaci6n correspondiente al
P. M. S., el angulo de avance del encendido
espedfico para el motor que debe calarse ( ver.
tab. en la pag. 7), hacer girar el disco, en sen­
tido anti - horario, de forma de llevar el piston
en la posici6n correspondiente a dicho angulo.
7) - Actuar a traves de !as aberturas del rotor, de­
splazar el soporte bobinas de manera que el
extremo de la bobina A. T. diste de la expan­
sion polar, ilustrada para los distintos tipos de
volante en los detalles 1) y 2) de la fig. 72,
de la medida indicada en dichos detalles. Esta
operaci6n no debe efectuarse para Vespa G. S.
encendido por baterfa.
N. B. - Para las Vespas G. S. rrod. VSB 1 con
encendido por vol. magn. ( sin baterfa) en los
motores sucesivos a I VSB l M - 003400 l el
buje porta rotor esta provisto de un signo efec­
tuada con pluma electrica: el calaje magnetico
esta correctamente hecho cuando el signo se
halla sobre el mismo piano pasante por la ex­
tremidad derecha del nucleo de la bobina de
