INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING DAMPER TEST RIG
The apparatus Drg. No. 7259 /R, for checking the
damper is coupled to an electric motor, which through
an apposite transmission acts on the damper under
test at the rate of l 00 cycles per minute ( each
cycle consists of a compressive and extension stro­
ke). The transmission ratio between drive shaft of
link mechanism and motor is l : 9.
For obtaining exact load readings during the test
it is first necessary to proceed with a preliminary
calibration of the coil springs of the test rig as fol­
lows ( fig. 59).
l. - Insert the screw V into the hole B
2. - In place of the damper mount a dynamometer
set at a load of 60 kg. and check that the poin­
ter on the scale indicates the same load.
3. - Remove the dynamometer and hook up a 60
Kg. load to the peg « P ».
In the case where the loads indicated do not
correspond to those applied, correct the rea­
ding by setting the adiusting nuts which re­
gulate the spring length.

El util para el control de los amortiguadores n. 7259 /R
se acopla a un motor electrico que, mediante tran­
.smisi6n, hace efectuar al amortiguador en prueba
l 00 ciclos por minute aprox. ( cada ciclo equivale
a una carrera de compresi6n y a una de distension).
La relacion de transmision entre eje de mando del
grupo palancas del util y el eje del motor es de l : 9.
Durante la prueba, para obtener lecturas exactas de
cargas, ejecutar un control preventive del tarado de
los muelles halicoidales del util; esta operac1on se
efectua como se indica a continuacion (fig. 59):
l. - lntroducir el tornillo V en el agujero B.
2. - lnsertar en lugar del amortiguador un dinam6-
metro y llevarlo a una carga de 60 kg.; veri­
ficar que la aguja del util indique la misma carga.
3. - Quitar el dinam6metro y colgar al perno P un
peso de 60 kg.
Si las cargas indicadas no corresponden a las
aplicadas, corregir las lecturas, actuando sobre
las tuercas de ajuste de la longitud de los
muelles.
