SMS
(not available in all countries)
You can send and receive SMS (Short Message
Service) messages with your multifunctional ma-
chine. Your MF-JET 450 has been pre-set to use
the SMS service in your country. If it does not
work correctly, please contact your SMS service
provider and change these settings (see chapter
Advanced settings
/ SMS settings).
Check the following with your service pro-
vider:
• what costs are billed for sending and pos-
sibly receiving an SMS message,
• which mobile networks can you send SMS
messages to and which mobile networks
can you receive SMS messages from,
• which functions are offered by your SMS
service.
Sending an SMS

Receiving an SMS
Received SMS messages will be printed automati-
cally. (You can change this setting—see chapter

/ SMS settings.) If you
switch off automatic printing, messages will be
stored in the memory. If you have received an SMS
message the lamp above the
» button lights up.
