15.3 Time Backup
Ref Name Description
1 Floppy Backup (See Section 15.1)
2 Time backup Use for backing up large amounts of video to HDD, CD-RW, or Network Drive.This
backup format is specific to the DÉSA, thus can only be used with DÉSA software.
3 Date/Time Select start and end time of backup video (must be prior to the current time).
4 Calculate Size Estimates data size for the specified backup time, as shown:
5 Backup Media Select Backup Media type (as listed in Ref #2 , above)
Format CDR/CDRW .
6 Format CDR/ Formatting of the CDR/CDRW via Direct CD software is required prior to backing up
CDRW to the CDR/CDRW (see the following section).
7 Option Check Delete old data . . . when there’s not enough space.
Oldest video data will be overwritten when there’s no more space to record video.
Select the
Priority of the backup.The two options are as follows:
• Backup after precedent backup
• Backup after current backup
8 OK Press OK to begin the designated backup or Cancel to exit without changes.
Select the media type from the Select backup media window. To use the CDR/CDRW media type, follow the
instructions in the following section to format the CDR/CDRW prior to backup usage.
