As soon as the vacuum is set the program starts ac-
cording to the defined parameters. The display shows
the remaining run time.
A run can be cancelled by pressing 'cancel' at any
time.
Do not open the lid during the run. In case of opening
the lid a security mechanism will stop the agitation
movement within 4 seconds.
Finishing a run
At the end of a run, the movement of the tube holder is
stopped and the unit displays the main menu. The vac-
uum between indented plate and tube holder is re-
leased about 5 seconds after the unit stops. After open-
ing the security lid the indented plate can be taken off
for the removal of the tubes.
Subsequent to a run on a Precellys
®
24 the refractory
period is displayed. Restarting a run is not possible
during this time. The length of the refractory period is
dependent on previous parameters of the program and
prevents an overheating of the system. However it can
be skipped by pressing 'cancel' and does not occur on
a Precellys
®
24-Dual. See 'Combinable parame-

CLEANING AND DECONTAMINATION
All parts of the casing can be cleaned with a damp cloth moistened with water, a mild cleaning agent
or 70 % alcohol.
Besides 70 % of ethanol or standard polyalcohols you can also use 1.85 % bleaching chloride, 10 %
formaldehyde or 1 % peracetic acid for disinfection. Completely remove the disinfectants after a resi-
dence time of 30 min with a damp cloth moistened with water.
Do not use strong solvents like acetone or concentrated bases (soda or caustic soda). Make sure that no
liquid penetrates into the interior of the device.
