Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a Tensile and Compressive Force Meter PCE-MMT E from PCE Instruments.
This manual is published by PCE Instruments without any warranty. Our equipment complies with all the
relevant safety regulations and carries the CE symbol. The CE Declaration of Conformity can be found as
an attachment. We point explicitly to our general warranty conditions, which can also be found on this
disk (CD) are and ask for attention. The warranty period of 24 months as described herein does not apply
to batteries. For this a statutory warranty period is 6 months from the date of delivery.
The warrant expires in case of damage:
•
an intervention by the buyer, the user or unauthorized third party in the device or its software;
•
improper handling; especially if the mechanical overloading of the built-in sensor is caused;
•
improper operation, storage, force majeure or other external influences occurs.
Improvements and changes to this manual necessitated by typographical errors and inaccuracies can be
made by the PCE Germany GmbH at any time without notice.
The PCE Germany GmbH reserves the right to make technical modifications and changes to the device,
its accessories and software at any time and without notice. Any changes will be reflected in the then
published user manuals.

Safety notes
Please read this manual carefully and completely before you use the device for the first time. The device
may only be used by qualified personnel and repaired by PCE Instruments personnel. There is no
warranty of damages or injuries caused by non-observance of the manual.
- The device may only be used in approved temperature range

The opening of the instrument should only be done by qualified personnel of the PCE Instruments
- The instrument should never be placed face down on the user interface (e.g., keyboard side on a table)
- You should not make technical changes to the device
- The appliance should only be cleaned with a damp cloth / use only pH-neutral cleaner

With the present measuring instrument, tensile and compressive forces can be determined up to the
specified maximum measuring range. Improper use may cause damage to the sensor.
