PPP channel configuration
Additionally, if a PPP channel is to transport bridged data a BCP interface is created (see section
“Interface
configuration”
on page 30), the BCP interface also takes the PPP channel number, for example BCP3 interface
corresponds to PPP channel 3, which in turn is attached to H.110 channel 3 (6081RC) or to the G.SHDSL
port 3. The same is true for routed connections (IPCP).

The PPP channel configuration page allows assignment of bridged or routed sessions to DSL or H.110 ports,
as well as definition of PPP link parameters such as MRU, retry times, authentication, etc.
1. The PPP page displays PPP channel status information, in addition it offer links for global, multilink, and
radius configuration pages.
There are two ways to access a PPP channel configuration page: by clicking on the channel number in the
status window, and the other way is by clicking on the Configuration option at the top of the main PPP
page. In this application, we will access the PPP channel configuration page by clicking on the channel
number in the status window.
Click on the PPP link in the
Configuration Menu
pane (see
figure 15
on page 23) to display the PPP Con-
figuration page (see
figure 24
).

2. Click on one of the hyperlinks in the
Channel
column to display the
PPP Options
page for the selected chan-
nel. The
PPP Channel Options
page allows the operator to configure BCP or IPCP options for the channel.
This page also provides several buttons for navigating through all PPP channels.
– The
Refresh Page
button forces the 3224 or 6081RC to display changes made since the previous
refresh cycle
