Basic assumptions

Basic assumptions

The bridged Ethernet network is based on the following basic assumptions:

•

Ethernet Interface A (Rear panel 3224, front panel 6081RC)

-

You will connect a management workstation (such as a PC) to the IpDSLAM or EdgeRoute Network
Access Server Ethernet Interface A.

-

You will use the management workstation on Interface A to configure the IpDSLAM or EdgeRoute Net-
work Access Server using a web browser.

Note

Your workstation must reside within the same IP subnetwork as
Ethernet Interface A in order to connect to the IpDSLAM or EdgeR-
oute Network Access Server management interface via the factory-
default IP address, which is 198.168.200.98. In other words, the first
three octets of your workstation’s IP address must be 198.168.200.
