Logging in using the factory-default IP address
Your workstation must reside within the same IP subnetwork as Ethernet Interface A in order to connect to the
IpDSLAMs management interface via the factory-default IP address, which is 198.168.200.98. That is, the
first three octets or your workstation’s IP address must be 198.168.200. Using a workstation connected to the
IpDSLAM’s Ethernet Interface A, do the following:
1. Power up the workstation and open a standard HTTP browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or
Netscape Navigator).
2. In your browser’s address field, enter
192.168.200.98
(the default IP address for the IpDSLAM’s Ethernet
Interface A), then press the <enter> key. The login popup window (see
figure 14
) will appear on your
screen.

3. In the login popup window, enter superuser for user name and superuser for password, then click the
OK
button. The IpDSLAM’s Web management home page (see
figure 15
) displays.
