1 Safety instructions
These Operating Instructions contain important advice on operating the device safely and
efficiently. The device may therefore only be operated if the Operating Instructions have
been read and understood.
1.1 Obligations and liability

Knowledge of the basic safety instructions and safety regulations is a fundamental
prerequisite for handling and operating this device safely and without any faults.
•
These Operating Instructions and in particular the safety instructions must be
observed by all individuals who work with the device.
• The rules and regulations applicable at the usage location for the purposes of accident
prevention must also be observed.
•
The device has been produced based on the latest applicable technology and in
accordance with accepted safety regulations. Nevertheless, use of the device may
result in hazards for users and third parties or have a negative impact on the device or
other property. The device may therefore only be used
o for its intended purpose
o in a perfect condition in terms of the safety regulations.
In the event of faults which may have a negative impact on device safety the device must
be switched off and the fault rectified. The device may only be switched on again after
this.
Claims under warranty and liability claims for personal injury and material damage are
excluded if they are attributable to one or more of the following causes:
- Use of the device contrary to its intended purpose.
- Improper assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the device.
- Operation of the device with protective and safety equipment that is defective or has
not been installed properly or is not functional.
- Failure to observe the advice in the Operating Instructions regarding transportation,
storage, assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the device.
- Unauthorised changes to the device.
- Unauthorised changes to the output or drive conditions on the device.
- Defective monitoring of device parts that are subject to wear and tear.
- Repairs that are not carried out properly.
- Disasters from external effects and force majeure.
