Tube clamping
The flaring jaw holder is fitted with a
movable bolt
(C)
and eccentric tappet
(F)
which allow clamping of the flaring
jaws and of the tube to be flared.
The cam setting is particularly
important for optimum flaring of the
tubes.
The cam ring
(E)
is fastened to shaft
(B)
with the pin
(D)
to the eccentric
tappet
(F).
Cam setting
The perfect setting for the tube
clamping is when the handle is in the
centre position (almost horizontal).
Bring the tube and the flaring jaws to
the flaring jaws holder for this. Loosen
both screws
(G)
from the shaft
(B).
Insert the handle into the cam and set
its angle position in order to achieve
optimum clamping, with the handle
horizontal.
Rotate shaft
(B)
to the clamping
position.
Fasten both screws with the setting
held with the handle.
Check the
correct clamping and free
separation of the tube if the handle
is opened.
