Removing and reattaching the chassis cladding

12.1

Removing and reattaching the rear cladding

Fig. 20: Rear cladding

The chassis cladding can be removed for maintenance, repair or clean-

ing.

Take the following steps in the following sequence when removing and

reassembling the rear cladding:

›

Loosen and remove knurled screws



Put aside the knurled screws and plastic washers.

›

Remove the rear cladding carefully.

›

Disconnect the cable for the rear light



at the connection.

›

Reassemble in the opposite sequence.

Removing and reattaching the side cladding

The chassis cladding can be removed for maintenance, repair or clean-

ing.

Take the following steps in the following sequence when removing and

reattaching the side cladding:

Loosen and remove knurled screws



›

Remove rear cladding.

See Section "12.1 Removing and reattaching the chassis clad-

ding"

›

Raise the side cladding at rear.

›

Disconnect the cable for the front headlight and directional indica-

tor



at the connection.

›

Remove side cladding from the front.

›

Reassemble in the opposite sequence.

Make sure the plastic washers are present, as they protect the

chassis components from damage.
