Section 24 Special means of transport

Wheelchairs are mentioned in German traffic law. In that law,

it is stated:

(1) Push and grip wheelchairs, sleds, prams, scooters, children's bi

cycles and other similar means of transport are not vehicles in

the sense of German traffic regulations.

›

(2) Medical wheelchairs and other wheelchairs as mentioned

in Paragraph 1 may circulate wherever pedestrian traffic is

permitted, but only at walking speed.
