11.5 Adjust the angular field of view using the extra
zoom function
Click the [Setup>>] button of “Extra zoom” on the [Image quality] tab of the “Image/Audio” page. (

It is possible to adjust the angular field of view using the extra zoom function.
•
: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the “Wide” side.
•
: Click this button to set the zoom ratio to x1.0.
•
: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the “Tele” side.
•
: Click this button to adjust the horizontal and vertical positions of the image after zooming.
Note
•
When “2 mega pixel [16:9]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the maximum zoom ratio is x3.0.
•
When “1.3 mega pixel [16:9]” or “1.3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the
maximum zoom ratio is x2.0.
•
When “3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the maximum zoom ratio is x3.2.
IMPORTANT
•
The extra zoom function may not be activated on the appropriate position if the setting for the function
is performed after the settings for the mask areas (

page 92), privacy zone (
®
page 97), VMD area
(
®
page 110), VIQS area (
®
page 99), cropping area (
®
page 120), picture in picture cropping area
(
®
page 121). To prevent this, perform the setting for the extra zoom function before other settings.
•
When using the lens distortion compensation function, if the extra zoom function is used, the lens
distortion compensation function is disabled.
