Connecting to network
Importing music data from the computer
You can import WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) data stored on your
PC to this unit’s HDD via network (in-house LAN).
File formats that
can be imported

WMA with the variable bit rate cannot be imported.

For AAC (MPEG4), only tracks that are not protected by
copyright can be imported.

les are imported as LPCM. However,

with the rates of 64 kbps, 96 kbps and 128 kbps may be
imported as AAC.

Importing AAC (MPEG4)

les require more time than
importing WMA/MP3

les.
●
Even after importing music data from the computer, the
music data on the computer will not be erased.
●
When tags are used for music data on the computer, the
artist name, album name and track name are used for the
title. If tag information is not present, the file name of each
track becomes the track name.

The import status and remaining time are displayed once per
several seconds. The first several seconds and the last several
seconds are not displayed correctly.

When playing back WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) tracks imported to
the HDD, the sound may be interrupted between tracks.

The track analysis (

page 6) for Music Shuffle is performed for
WMA/MP3/AAC (MPEG4) tracks imported to the HDD when the
unit is in standby mode.
●
If large data such as JPEG is present, sound may not come out or
playback may not be possible.
