3. Check the following soldering condition.

IC2101 and its surrounding circuits
(2) CONTROL Board
IC4, R433,R424
4. Replace faulty parts or boards.
F19: DRAM
Error 89 00 00 00 Access error to SDRAM (IC20,
IC21) on the CONTROL Board 1. Check the soldering condition of the following parts
on the CONTROL Board.
(1) R343 to R352, R357 to R364, R367 to R371,
R1220 to R1231, R1236 to R1243, R1247
2. Replace faulty parts or board.
F31: Analogue
IC Error 95 00 00 00 Access error to Analogue
ICs (IC2) on the
CONTROL Board 1. Check the soldering condition of the following parts
and of their surrounding circuits on the CONTROL
Board.
(1) Analogue IC (IC2, IC3)
2. Replace faulty parts or board.

(IC28) Error 98 00 00 00 Access error to EEPROM
(IC28) 1. Check the soldering condition of the following parts
and of their surrounding circuits on the CONTROL
Board.
(1) EEPROM (IC5)
(2) CPU (IC4)

2. Replace faulty parts or board.
F60: Front-side
gain adjustment
error 50 00 00 00 1. The surface of Scanning
Glass (F) is dirty. Clean the surface with a soft and dry cloth.
2. CIS (F) Unit does not work
properly.
1. Open the ADF Door and check the position of Ref-
erence Plate (F) after power-on and the error.
(1) White background : OK
(2)Black background : Check if the Slider which
drives the Reference Plate moves smoothly after
the ADF Door opens and closes.
2. Execute Focus test in Sec.
Test

P.47
) to check the
waveform of CIS output.
3. Check that LED (F) lights during Focus test.
4. Check the following connections and soldering
condition on each connector.
a. CIS (F) Unit to CN1(CONTROL Board)
5. Check the power supply for LED.
(1) CN1-7th pin, F8: 7.0 V
(2) L3,L6,L7,Q7,Q8,Q9
6. Replace faulty parts or boards.
3. Problem with Pixel data from
CIS (F) or from image
processing circuit 1. Check the connection and soldering condition of
the following parts.
(1) between CIS (F) and CN1 (CONTROL Board)
2. Check the soldering condition of the following parts
and of their surrounding circuits on the CONTROL
Board.
(1) IC43(FPGA) Only for S1057C or SL1066
(2) IC2 (AFE)
(3) IC7 (D/A Conv.)
3. Monitor the following CIS Timing signals on the
CN1.
(1) CLK (CN1-5th pin): See Fig. 10.2.1.
(2) SI (CN1-7th pin) : See Fig. 10.2.2.
4. Replace faulty parts or boards.
