Verifying and calibrating measuring system

Checking that aerosol sensor is unob-
structed

Before beginning any calibration, check that the aerosol inlet tube and the
aerosol sensor are unobstructed. This can be verified visually when the sam-
pling tube and gravimetric filter are detached. How to detach these compo-

nents is described in the following section: "

Cleaning aerosol sensor optical

Hold a white surface under the aerosol sensor and look into the top, search-
ing for a foreign object inside the aerosol sensor.

If there is a foreign object trapped inside: Detach the aerosol inlet tube to re-
move the foreign object. Do not use compressed air as long as the aerosol
tube is in place.
