Chain Lubrication
1. Place the pole pruner on a level surface.
2. Clean the area around the oil tank cap and then
open it.
3. Fill the chain bar oil tank with CHAIN BAR OIL (not
supplied). In doing so, make sure that no dirt gets into
the oil tank. This will ensure that the oil nozzle does not
clog. Tank capacity 100ml. Do not overfill.
4. Refit the oil tank cap.
5. To check the lubricating system, when running hold it
with the guide bar and chain above some light coloured
paper such as newspaper. A steadily increasing stain
caused by oil spray shows the lubricating system is
working.
Note:
Guide bar oil may leak if the tool is left for long
periods. This is normal. If the tool is to be left unused for
an extended time, drain the oil from the tank. Refill before
use.
