UPGRADING RIP FIRMWARE

The RIP firmware PCB is shown in the following illustration.

RIP Firmware PCB

PB0-AT

To remove the RIP firmware PCB, proceed as follows:

1. Remove the connector panel and RIP controller PCB as explained in

RIP Controller PCB Replacement in Appendix A.

2. Pull down on the ejector, as shown in the following illustration, so that

the ejector is at an angle of about 45º.

3. Touching only along the edges of the RIP firmware PCB, pivot the end

nearest the ejector upward and then pull out the PCB.

4. If available, place this mini-PCB in an antistatic bag to protect it

against electrostatic discharge during handling.
