To protect the front lamps against damage, they are pro-
vided with rubber bearings.

Do not expose the lamps to moisture!
When reinserting the panes, make sure they sit
correctly on the housing and that the screws
are firmly tightened.
8.3 Suspension of casters and
Drive Wheels
The power wheelchair can be equipped with a suspen-
sion system. One spring/damping element on each of the
two casters increases driving comfort and provides bet-
ter adherence to the ground, especially when driving on
uneven terrain. This can be improved even more by also
using spring-mounted drive wheels.
To order a suspension system, a specialist dealer needs
to know the user’s weight in order to determine the
degree of spring damping.
When equipped with drive wheel suspension, the B 500
has a battery drawer.
To open the battery drawer:

Pull up the release bolt (see fig. 30).

Pull the drawer out backwards.
r
Undo the snap lock on the safety strap.
r
Remove the cover of the battery case.
