Operation
DAnGEr !
Danger to life if the brake fails!
An incorrectly set brake can lead to brake fail-
ure and thus result in severe injuries or death.
Repairs and adjustments to the brake may
only be carried out by authorised service staff.
DAnGEr !
Risk of accident and injury if brake function is
unavailable!
When the brake is released (push mode), no
brake function is available. When moving on
inclined paths, the person pushing the pow-
er wheelchair must provide the appropriate
brake force.
DAnGEr !
Releasing the brake may result in uncontrolled
rolling of the power wheelchair. Therefore
make sure that the brake is engaged after
parking the power wheelchair.
releasing the Brake (fig. 15)
For reasons of safety you must first pull up the brake
release bolt.
nOTE !
When in this position, the brake must still be
engaged! Should the brake already be re-
leased and the pushing function be active at
this stage, please contact your wheelchair
supplier.
Now the brake release lever has been released and can
be pressed fully forwards and downwards.
In this position, the control unit will recognise that the
brake has been released and automatically deactivate
the driving function. As soon as the joystick is deflected,
a warning will appear on the LCD display.
nOTE !
After turning the brake release lever, all brake
systems are deactivated.
