• Activate the vacuum pump until a vacuum of
500 hPa
to
850 hPa
is reached.

If the vacuum is not maintained:
Glue the socket connector again. Then check whether this measure
was successful.
6 Use
CAUTION
Use of powder (e.g. baby powder or talcum)
Skin irritation on the residual limb and loss of function of prosthetic components due to clogging
with particles or deprivation of lubricant

Keep the product away from powders.
6.1 Donning the prosthesis
1) Don the liner on the residual limb. Avoid wrinkles, air pockets and soft tissue displacement in
the process.
2)
For liners without textile coating:
Pull on a nylon sock (451F21).
3) Slide into the prosthetic socket and unroll the sealing sleeve over the prosthetic socket onto
the thigh.
6.2 Doffing the prosthesis
1) Unroll the sealing sleeve from the thigh onto the prosthetic socket.
2) Doff the residual limb and liner out of the prosthetic socket.
7 Cleaning
7.1 Cleaning the prosthetic socket
► Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth and then let it dry.
7.2 Cleaning the liner
► Clean the liner as described in the liner instructions for use.
7.3 Cleaning the vacuum pump
INFORMATION
Replace the filter when cleaning the vacuum pump.
INFORMATION
If you cannot operate the vacuum pump:
► Determine the current setting (number of turns of the adjustment screw to the stop).
► Release the elastomer rod by five turns before rinsing.
► Restore the original state after rinsing.
For qualified personnel: cleaning with compressed air
1) Loosen the hose of the socket connector from the filter.
2) With compressed air, carefully blow through the hole in the prosthetic socket to remove dirt
from the socket connector.
3) Remove the filter from the the vacuum pump.
4) With compressed air, carefully blow through the suction connection of the vacuum pump to
remove dirt from the vacuum pump and one-way valve.
For qualified personnel: rinsing with distilled water
1) Remove all distal prosthetic components.
2) Pull the filter off the vacuum pump.
