Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP)

Proper placement of the electrodes on the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) ensures accurate data collection. Have the patient
turn his/her head left or right and downward. The SCM should bulge. Place the electrode on the middle and most bulbous
part of the SCM. The right and left SCM electrodes should be symmetrical (at the same level) on the patient's neck.
