Leaving the System Settings Screen
Leave the
SYSTEM SETTINGS
by pressing the
NEXT
key until the term
SAVE
appears on the
RIGHT
button
tab. Press
SAVE
and you are automatically back in the
ADVANCED MODE
(Figure
, p.
).

If you do not save the
SYSTEM SETTINGS
, the settings you changed will not be activated.
3.6.8 Setting the Dose Rate Unit
The unit of the dose rate can be either set to the “International System of Units” (SI,
Système international
d’unités
, or to the “Centimetre Gram Second” system of Units (CGS). In SI units, the dose rate is given
in “Sieverts per hour”, abbreviated as Sv/h. The US common unit for the dose rate is given in terms
of “Roentgen-equivalent in man”, typically written as rem/h and often shown as mrem/hr (millirem per
hour).
3.6.9 Setting Warning and Alarm Thresholds for Dose Rate
The RADEAGLET offers different types of annunciation to inform the user about the strength of the
radiation field. Using these settings, the minimum dose rate for a warning and the minimum dose rate
for calling out an alarm can be defined.
In Figure
, p.
the default settings of the warning and the alarm level for the dose rate are shown.
You can adjust these values by navigating to the desired value. Warning levels must always be set below
the alarm levels.
