  Make  sure  the  new  operator  has  correctly  understood  the  instructions  and  has  no  doubts 

about the machinery operation.

 

 

How to prove the conveyance of instructions for use? 

Considering  that  a  proper  knowledge  of  the  machinery  is  absolutely  necessary  and  that  the 
operator,  once  he  ends  his  operative  role,  is  no  more  responsible  for  it,  some  forms  have  been 
duly  issued  to  prove  the  machine  has  been  correctly  picked  up  at  the  manufacturer’s  premises 
(

Declaration of responsibility

) and it has been properly conveyed to another operator.

 

 

 

The machinery can only be operated by grown-up, trained operators who 
have carefully read the relevant instructions for use.  

Lacking or incomplete conveyance of information and instructions for the 
use of the machinery may lead to legal proceedings (even criminal 
proceedings) in case of damage to the health of humans, animals, to 
things and to the environment.  

It is responsibility of the owner of the machinery and/or the person in 
charge of safety to make sure the operators have been properly trained to 
use the machinery 

 

 

IN SHORT

Inform the operators.  

•

 

Hand over the instructions for use and explain the contents.  

•

 

Fill the form thoroughly and sign it.  

•

 

It is in the machinery conveyor’s interest to make and keep a copy of the page 
proving the correct conveyance.

 

 

 

2.4  Hazardous areas  

The  area  nearby  the  machinery  is  very  dangerous  for  the  operator  or  whoever  may  be  inside  it. 
The dangerous area is determined by the field of action of the crane boom. 
 

It is absolutely forbidden to stay under hanging loads 

 

 

As further dangers can be originated in the work area, the following provisions must be observed.  

 

It is forbidden to work in proximity of electrical lines.  

Death hazard in case of contact with power lines.  

 

Shearing hazard due to moving parts. Do not lean against the machinery 
during operation.
