Do not carry out temporary or irregular electrical connections.  

Check properly battery charge level.  

Make sure terminal clamps have been well tightened and are free from scale 
and oxidation. Make sure the cable insulated parts are in good conditions.  

It  is  recommended  to  avoid  running  the  batteries  completely  down  (<10.5 
Volt)  otherwise  the  recharging  time  would  remarkably  extended  thus 
implying  the  risk  of  damaging  the  batteries.  Once  the  machinery  is 
stabilized, connect it to the power supply as soon as possible and operate 
under voltage.

 

 

At  the  end  of  the  working  day  or  in  case  of  prolonged  idle  time,  do  not 
forget to disconnect the machinery-battery pack connector. 

 

General warnings about battery charger and battery recharging.

 

•

  Make sure that the available power supply corresponds to that indicated on the battery 

charger identification plate

.

 

•

  If  an  extension  or  a  power  strip  are  used,  make  sure  they  are  suitable  to  the  overall 

voltage required. 

•

  Turn off the power supply before connecting or disconnecting plugs to the battery 

•

  In case of lead-acid storage battery charging WARNIGN!!!: EXPLOSIVE GASES > keep 

flames and sparks away. Battery must be placed in a ventilated area. 

•

  Make  sure  the  nominal  battery  voltage  is  the  same  as  indicated  on  battery  charger 

identification plate. 

•

  Don't try to repair the battery charger: opening the cover opening may constitute a risk of 

electrical shock. 

•

  If  the  battery  charger  does  not  work  correctly  or  it  is  damaged,  unplug  it  immediately 

from the mains and from the battery and apply to the seller. 

•

  Always  wear  personal  protective  equipment  (gloves,  glasses,  etc.)  when  operating 

batteries.  

•

  Never top up batteries with acid. 

•

  Always keep batteries clean and dry.  

•

  Do not expose to extreme heat or open flame. 

•

  Make sure electrolyte covers are closed. 

 

How to prolong battery lifetime 

•

  Make sure electrolyte level is over the plates. 

•

  Tighten vent caps before charging.  

•

  Do not interrupt charge cycle. 

•

  Never charge a cold battery. 

•

  Recharge batteries in ventilated areas only. 

•

  Add water only after having completely recharged the battery. 

•

  Never let the electrolyte level falls below the plates. 

•

  Use distilled water or water with low mineral content only. 

•

  Nothing has to fall inside the battery.
