SER MGT Port
The SER MGT RJ-45 port, located on the rear panel, provides an TIA/EIA-232 serial
Oracle/Cisco standard connection to the SP. For DTE-to-DTE communications, you
can use the supplied RJ-45 to DB-9 crossover adapter with a standard RJ-45 cable to
achieve the required null modem configuration.
By default, this port is configured with these parameters:
■
8N1: eight data bits, no parity, one stop bit
■
9600 baud
■
Disable hardware flow control (CTS/RTS)
■
Disable software flow control (XON/XOFF)
Caution –
Do not attach a modem to this port.
