movie is saved in the database. It is also possible to end the recording by
pressing once more <enter> on the front panel of the device. The file is
saved in a standard AVI format and can therefore be displayed in Windows
(Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8).
15) To recall a specific movie, it is sufficient to click the green triangle in the
BSCAN screen.
8.4.3. HOW TO USE THE ASCAN FUNCTION IN BSCAN MODE
This function improves the identification of tissues and is useful to analyse reflectivity.
1) To perform an ASCAN on a BSCAN image, it is sufficient to press
“Image”+”A/Bscan”+”Active/Canc ASCAN”
2) Click with the left button of the mouse the line at the centre of the screen and,
keep the button pressed and move the cursor to explore the BSCAN image.
The A-Scan image on the BSCAN screen moves along with the mouse.
3) Using a specific Bscan technique (e.g. Immersion) it is possible to image the full
eye, from cornea to macula. Apply the ASCAN on BSCAN on that image and
select the vector from the cornea to the macula. By means of the button
“Biometry on Bscan” it is possible to do the biometric measurement of the eye
and the related IOL calculation.
8.4.4. HOW TO USE THE BIOMETRY FUNCTION
1) Press the Biometry button to allow the device to automatically select the
biometry probe.
2) Select “Unfreeze” or press the spacebar. A shifting red line displays.
3) Use the GAIN up/down arrow keys to adjust the gain.
4) Select the manual or automatic mode.
