small and hard to find lesions. After the selection of the best frame, the
operator can store it in the database by means of the “Save” button. (see
fig. 7.2).
10) To perform measurements on the acquired image or saved images, use
the buttons on the left of the BSCAN screen.
a. To perform distance measurements, click with the left button of the
mouse icons (d1) or (d2), then right-click the measurement start point,
select the end point while keeping the mouse button pressed and
finally release the button.
b. To perform angular measurements, click with the left button of the
mouse icon (
α), click the vertex of the angle to measure, keep the
button pressed, position the cursor on the first segment, release the
button, click it once more and move to the next segment.
c. To measure an area, click with the left button of the mouse icon (A),
click the right button of the mouse and follow the perimeter of the
surface to measure. Release the mouse button to complete the
measurement.
d. To enlarge an image, click with the left button of the mouse icon (+),
click the right button of the mouse and highlight the image to enlarge.
e. To delete previous measurements, click with the left button of the
mouse icon (X).
11) Press buttons “Filters” + “Colorize” + “Colors” to change an image from
black and white to a different colour or vice versa. By means of the button
“Select Gradient” it is possible to select a specific color palette.
12) To print the image, press Print and verify that the printer is connected
to the PC. It is also possible to print a full size A4 page with: Header, from
one to six images and a diagnosis. (see para. 8.3.2)
13) If the BSCAN mode is active, press REC on the BSCAN screen to start
recording a movie.
14) The recording automatically ends after approximately 20 seconds and the
