Control indica tor for im mobiliser

Illuminates briefly when the ignition is
switched on.
If the control indicator stays illuminated
after the ignition is switched on, there is a
fault in the system; the engine cannot be
started. Switch off the ig nition, rem ove the
key and repeat the start attem pt.
If the control indicator fails to extinguish,
try to start the engine using the spare key
and consult a workshop.
Note
The im mobiliser does not lock the doors.
Therefore, after leaving the vehicle alwa ys
lock it. See pa ge 24.
Remote control
Used to operate:
z Central locking system,
z Luggage compartment relea se,
z Vehicle loc ator and panic alarm .
The rem ote control has a range of
approx. 3 m etres. This range can be
affected by outside influences.
Handle the rem ote control with care,
protect it from m oisture and high
temperatures and avoid unnecessary
op eration.
When enabled through d riv er information
centre personalisation mode, illumina tion
of hazard warning lam ps indicates remote
control operation.
