Wheels
Use a pH-neutral wheel cleaning agent to
clean the wheels.
Wheels are painted and can b e treated
with the same agents as the body. For alloy
wheels, we recomm end the use of Alloy
Wheel Preserver.
Paintw ork da mage
Repair small area s of p aint damage suc h
as stone impacts, scratches etc.
immediately using a Touc h-Up Applicator
or Aerosol and Touch-Up Paint before rust
can form. If rust has already form ed, have
the c ause rectified by a workshop. Please
also pay attention to surfaces and edges
beneath the v ehicle where rust ma y have
formed unnoticed for some time.
Tar spots
Do not use hard ob jects to rem ove spots of
tar – use Tar Removal Spray. Do not use
Tar Removal Spray on the covers of
head la mps or other exterior lamps.
Exterior lamps
Headlamp and other protectiv e lam p
covers a re ma de of p la stic. If they require
additional cleaning after the vehicle has
been washed, clea n them with Car
Shamp oo. Do not use any ab ra sive or
caustic agents, do not use an ice scraper,
and do not clean them dry.
Plastic and rubber par ts
For add itional cleaning of plastic and
rubb er parts, use Interior/Upholstery
Clea ner. Do not use any other agent, and
in particular do not use solvents or petrol.
Do not use high-pressure jet clea ners.
Wheels and tyres
Do not use high-pressure jet clea ners on
wheels and tyres.
Interior and upholster y
Clea n the vehicle interior, including the
instrument panel fasc ia , using Interior/
Upholstery Cleaner.
The instrument panel should only be
cleaned using a soft da mp cloth.
Clea n fa bric upholstery with a va cuum
cleaner and brush. To remove stains, use
Interior/Upholstery Cleaner t hat is suitab le
for b oth fabrics and vinyl.
Do not use cleaning agents such as
acetone, carbon tetrachloride, paint
thinner, paint remov er, nail v arnish
remover, washing powder or blea ch to
clean fab ric s, carpets, the instrum ent panel
or leather trim

in the vehicle interior.
Petrol is also unsuitable.
Open Velcro fasteners on clothing c ould
damage seat upholstery. Make sure that
Velcro fasteners are c losed .
Seat belts
Always k eep seat b elts clean a nd dry.
Clean only with lukewa rm water or Interior/
Upholstery Cleaner.
Window s
When cleaning the hea ted rear window,
ma ke sure that the heating element on the
insid e of the window is not damaged.
Use a soft lint-free cloth or chamois leather
in conjunction with Window Cleaner a nd
Insect R emover.
Opel Clea ning Solv ent and Antifreeze is
suita ble for de-icing windows.
For mec ha nical removal of ice, use a
comm ercially available sharp-edged ice
scraper. Press the scraper firmly against
the glass so that no dirt can get under it
and scratch the glass.
Windscreen wiper b lades
Wax such as the wax used in car washes
can c ause sm earing on the wind screen
when the windscreen wipers are sw itc hed
on.
Smearing wiper blades c an be cleaned with
a soft cloth a nd Opel Cleaning Solvent and
Antifreez e, and replac ed if necessa ry –
see page 157.
