FUNCTIONING MODES
NOTICE:
The “SLIDE UP”control, positioned on the main control pulpit is always operative! By any
mushroom-shaped pressed “CYCLE STOP” push-button or with movable mechanical
barriers open it is possible to let the slide go up with low speed.
6.9.1
INITIAL CYCLES
Once installation of the machine has been carried out, as described above, the slide and the blank holder can
be moved.
To do this, set the T.D.C. and B.D.C. cams so that part of the slide stroke is used and select the
“ADJUSTMENT” functioning mode on the control panel.
Using the buttons contained on the control console, make the slide and blank holder carry out a few tens of
cycles bearing in mind that the cushion can only be moved with the slide at T.D.C. and after the "DIRECT" or
"INDEPENDENT" mode has been selected using the INDUSTRIAL PC.
6.9.2
ADJUSTMENT CYCLE
This is used when the dies are replaced and set and when starting the machine.
It is obtained by turning the relevant switch on the control panel to "ADJUSTMENT" and allows:
1.
The slow downstroke and upstroke of the slide by means of the “CYCLE START” and “SLIDE UP” buttons
located on the control console.
2.
The downstroke and upstroke of the blank holder by means of the “CUSHION DOWN” and “CUSHION UP”
buttons located on the control console.
6.9.3
SINGLE CYCLE WITHOUT BLANK HOLDER
This is obtained by turning the relevant switch on the control panel to "SINGLE CYCLE", de-activating the blank
holder control and pressing the “CYCLE START” buttons on the control console. The slide should be positioned
at the T.D.C.
This allows only the slide cycle to be used, which takes place as follows:
1.
Fast downstroke from T.D.C.
2.
Braking for start of drawing stage.
3.
Drawing stage.
4.
Inversion of movement by cam or pressure-switch.
5.
Slide upstroke as far as T.D.C.
6.9.4
SINGLE CYCLE WITH INDEPENDENT BLANK HOLDER
This is obtained by turning the relevant switch on the control panel to " SINGLE CYCLE " and by activating the
"INDEPENDENT" cycle of the blank holder using the INDUSTRIAL PC and pressing the “CYCLE START”
buttons located on the control console. The slide should be positioned at the T.D.C.
With this cycle the movement of the slide is the same as above with the addition of the blank holder movement
which rises when the slide is at T.D.C.
6.9.5
SINGLE CYCLE WITH DIRECT BLANK HOLDER
This is obtained by turning the relevant switch on the control panel to " SINGLE CYCLE " and by activating the
"DIRECT" cycle of the blank holder using the INDUSTRIAL PC and pressing the “CYCLE START” buttons
located on the control console. The slide should be positioned at the T.D.C.
With this cycle the movement of the slide is the same as above with the difference that the blank holder rises
together with the slide.
