If the caller dialled the number on his telephone, or wants to send a document when the message
has been recorded, he must press the start button on his own machine. The receiving facsimile
machine will intercept the call signal and prepare for reception.

If the facsimile machine detects silence for a period of about six seconds (because the caller did
not leave any message or after the message was recorded), it enters automatic reception mode.
The silence time can be changed by means of the set-up parameter "SILENCE TIME".

If the silence time set on the telephone answering device is shorter than the time set on the facsimile
machine, the TAD cuts off the connection. If this method, which prevents the facsimile machine
from preparing for reception, does not permit the caller to send the document during the same call,
you must change the value of the facsimile machine's set-up parameter "SILENCE TIME".
