REPLACING THE PRINT HEAD

The procedure below describes how to replace the print head (for both the disposable type and
the interchangeable ink cartridge type).

1. Lift the operator console and

open the printer compartment
cover.

2. Release the print head (including

the cartridge, if the print head
has an interchangeable
cartridge) by pressing in the
direction indicated by the arrow
and remove it from its housing.

3. Remove the new print head

from its packing and peel off
the protective film from the
nozzles.

If the print head has an
interchangeable cartridge, do
not detach the ink cartridge
from the print head.

Do not touch the electrical
contacts or the printing nib (area
protected by the transparent
film).
