TRANSMISSION
BROADCAST TRANSMISSION FROM THE MEMORY - IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED
With the aid of the memory, the facsimile machine can send a document to several correspondents (maximum
16). The document is stored (about 10 pages of A4 format with normal resolution) and then sent, immediately
or at a preset time, to each destination in the order programmed.
When you perform operations that require use of the memory, check the percentage of free memory on the
display. If the memory is almost full, clear it of documents no longer required so as to create space for new
storage operations (see the “Connection activities” and “Documents stored” sections of the “ACTIVITY
HANDLING” chapter.
This section explains how to set broadcast transmission (immediate or delayed) from the memory. To clear any
of the types of transmission operations mentioned above, see the “Documents stored” and “Connection
activities” sections of the “ACTIVITY HANDLING” chapter.

The facsimile machine is on. The document has been inserted and prepared for transmission (see the
“BEFORE TRANSMITTING/COPYING” chapter).

Press FUNCTION followed by 1.

Press START.
If no other BROADCAST tranmission is allowed,
when you press START you hear a beep and the
message “ALREADY ENTERED” appears on the
display for a few seconds.

Press SET/CONF . to confirm the current time (imme-
diate transmission) or:
type the time at which the document is to be sent
(within the next 24 hours) and press SET/CONF.
again to confirm the new setting.
If no other DELAYED tranmission is allowed, when
you press SET/CONF . you hear a beep and the
message “ALREADY ENABLED” appears on the
display for a few seconds.
The message “STORING” appears on the display
while the document is being stored.
Once the document has been stored, the message
“COMPLETED” appears on the first line of the display
for a few seconds and the message “PG:XX DOC. R.:
XXXX appears on the second line. The latter message
provides you with reference data that you may require
for document deletion or transmission cancellation
operations, i.e. the number of pages and the document
reference number.
