3.5 Connection of the series circuit
Before carrying out any intervention on the device, cut off all external power sources and
place appropriate work-in-progress warnings on the systems.
Wait for the discharging time (at least 5 min) and check using appropriate instruments that
there are no residual energies before accessing the electrical equipment.
Prepare the series circuit cables for connection and connect the terminal to the conductor.
Remove the transparent protection from the terminals and make the electrical connection to the prepared power
supply line.
If foreseen, connect the cable screen to the prepared terminals.
Before making the connections, check that the characteristics of the line are compatible with
the characteristics of the device.
Replace the transparent panel over the terminal block and close the rear panel, taking care to pass the cables
through the relevant openings.
