3 INSTALLATION
3.1 Constant current regulator
The DIAM3200 constant current regulators, installed to supply the series circuits, are capable of supplying current
to the series circuit to provide the necessary brightness to the light fixtures installed on the circuit. The number of
selectable brightness levels must be consistent with the intended functionality of the circuit design.
The features of series circuit must be compliant with the dispositions of competent bodies and with the regulations
in force. The load actually supplied by the series circuit must not exceed the operating limits of the constant current
regulator.
For the construction of the supply circuits and for the series circuits, refer to the requirements
of the relevant Standards.
For the conformity of the light fixtures supplied by the constant current regulators through
the series circuits, refer to the specific product certifications.
Do not connect the constant current regulator to circuits which have not previously undergone
high-voltage insulation tests or to cables which show signs of damage or deformation.
Before making connections, check that the series circuits and light fixtures are correctly
configured and installed.
As an alternative to the earth fault detector integrated in the regulator (EFD option), optional
devices are available for monitoring the series circuit (IRM), able to generate warning and
alarm messages to be integrated in the mandatory reporting for the proper management and
maintenance of the airport (FAA AC 150/5340-30).
These devices are a useful accessory for the management of faults and for an easier
identification of the cabin problems.
