3.3 Preliminary checks
Store the device in its original packaging until the time of installation.
Check the characteristics of the electrical system into which the device must be integrated
before installing the constant current regulator.

The power supply line must be suitably dimensioned and adequately protected.
●
Only use the device in combination with series circuits that comply with the standard FAA AC 150/5340-30
and ICAO Aerodome Design Manual Part 5.
●
Do not use the device to power fixtures that do not comply with the international standards. Power non-
certified fixtures may cause sudden shutdowns and lamp ignition problems.
●
Check that the power installed on the series circuit is compatible with the specifications of the constant
current regulator.
●
Perform continuity check of the series circuit and evaluate the possible presence of burnt lamps in the
installed fixtures.
