13 Advanced Information
13.1 Making Sample Set for Checking Results: Proof Copy
Use Proof Copy to scan the original and produce a sample of the copied set
before making multiple copies. This is a convenient and cost effective way of
viewing the results of the copying selections.
Prerequisites

Proof Copy scans all the original first, then output only one copied set.
Use Separate Scan mode for more than 100 sheets of original or originals
to be scanned from the original glass.

Position the original, then select the desired copy conditions from the
Copy Screen.
– If Separate Scan mode is selected, press [Start] to scan all the orig-
inal, then touch [Scan Complete] to exit the Separate Scan mode
before proceeding to step 2.

Press [Proof Copy] on the control panel.
A sample copy will be output while scanning the original.
If Separate Scan mode has been used, a sample set will be delivered
immediately.
The screen for checking the job settings will be displayed.

Check the job settings.
– On the screen, [Next] and [Previous] may be displayed depending
on the selected application function. Touch the keys to check the
setting.
