Paper and Original Information

3.1.5

Auto Tray Switch Function

If the selected paper tray runs out of paper while a job is being printed and a
different paper tray is loaded with paper meeting the following conditions,
the other paper tray is automatically selected so printing can continue. If the
optional Large Capacity Unit LU-407 is installed, a maximum of 7,350 copies
can be made continuously. (The paper tray is automatically switched only if
the "ATS Permit" in Utility mode is set to "On".)

Operating Conditions (Set the following condition at "02 Function Setting -
01 Feed Tray Setting" in Utility mode.)

Select the paper trays to be selected automatically by "01 Feed Tray Auto
Selection" when Auto Paper functions.
Tray priority is available.

-

Select "On" at "02 ATS Permit"

-

Select the paper type setting of the tray which is automatically selected
when ATS functions at "03 Auto Paper Type"

Load the following paper into the paper trays.

-

The same size in the same orientation.

-

The same paper type.

3.1.6

To Store Copy Paper

Observe the following precautions when storing the paper.

-

Store paper in a cool, dry area. Using damp paper may cause a paper
misfeed.

-

Keep partially used packages tightly wrapped during storage.

-

Do not place paper packages vertically to store. Paper curl due to the
vertical storage may cause a paper misfeed.
