Solve smudges

Introduction

Solve smudges on your print. Smudging of ink occurs because the top layer is not fully cured.
Follow the procedure below. You can stop at any time in the procedure when the problem is
solved.

Procedure

1.

Try a different media type.

2.

Increase the [Precure] or [Postcure] settings in the RIP.

Change the media settings on page 44

CAUTION

Only experienced users or color experts can change these settings. When you are not
sure, contact your local Service representative.

3.

Tune the [Printer platen temperature] in the RIP.
