Parameter
Description
Server Address
Specify the address of the LDAP server. Use the keyboard that ap-
pears in the touch panel to type in the address (255 characters or
less).
Search Base
Specify the search starting point in a hierarchical structure ar-
ranged on the LDAP server. Searches are performed by also in-
cluding the sub-directories lower than the starting point that was
specified.
Use the keyboard that appears in the touch panel to type in the ad-
dress (up to 255 characters).

SSL Setting
Select whether or not SSL (data encryption) is used when connect-
ing to an LDAP server.
When SSL is used, communication information is encrypted.
Port Number
Specify the port number for the LDAP server. To change the set-
ting, press the [C] (clear) key, and then use the keypad to type in
the desired port number. (Range: 1 to 65535)

Description
Authentication Type
Select the authentication method used for logging on to the LDAP
server.
Anonymous: This authentication method does not require a user
name and password. If “Anonymous” is selected, dynamic authen-
tication is disabled.
Simple: This simple authentication method requires a user name
and password. Be careful since the passwords can be leaked over
the network.
Digest-MD5: This authentication method can be used on a typical
LDAP server. If authentication fails using Digest- MD5, the authen-
tication is performed by automatically switching to CRAM-MD5.
GSS-SPNEGO: This authentication method can be used with Ac-
tive Directory in Windows (Kerberos authentication).
NTLM v1 and NTLM v2: These standard user authentication meth-
ods can be used with Windows NT.
They can be used for logging on when sharing files and printers.
