Changing the cleaving tension
Enter the desired cleaving tension in the “Tension” dialog box (see s ection “ Recommended cleaving tension ” for more information
about tension setting) and press on th e “Write” button. When pressed, the settings (e.g. tensio n, position etc.) presented in the GUI
are written to the cleaver. This could also be achieved by pressing Enter after changing the value in the dialog box.
Adjusting the cleave length
Through the software it is possible to change the cleave length by up to +500 µm for fine-tuning of the cleave length. Note that it I
only possible to make the cleave longer than the default mechanical setting of the cleaver. For more information see section
Adjustment of cleaved fiber length .
To change the length via the software, enter the desired value of extra cleave length) in the Position dialog box and press on the
“Write” butt on. When pressed, the settings (e.g. tension, position etc.) presented in the GUI are written to the cleaver. This could
also be achieved by pressing Enter after changing the value in the dialog box.
