the unit to malfunction or affects its performance. Open the cleaver setup window from the Utility menu.
Setup window
Pause before cleaving (ANG mode)
Activates the angle cleave mode of operation on the AUTOCLEAVER LDF
TM
. Should only be checked (activated) when an LDA-unit
mounted. More information about angle cleaving can be found in the AUTOCLEAVER LDA
TM
manual.
Hold fiber after cleaving (LIN mode)
Activates the fiber holder adaptor plate mode of operation on the AUTOCLEAVER LDF
TM
. Should only be checked (activated) when the
AUTOCLEAVER
TM
has a fiber holder adaptor plate mounted.
Enable piezo waste eject motion
If checked (activated), the cleaver blade moves forward after cleaving and applies a bending tension to the waste fiber part to make
sure the fiber waste part does not stick to the fixed clamp block and v-groove when ejected. This function should only be enabled
when cleaving smaller diameters of fibers (up to approximately 250µm cladding). For larger fiber, this function could create excessive
wear on the diamond blade cleaver blade. On the AUTOCLEAVER
TM
this function is enabled by factory default.
Disable abortable cleaving process
By default, this box is unchecked, making it possible for the operator to stop the cleaving sequence once it has started. If checked, the
start button will not act as a stop button when the cleave sequence has started.
Number of cleaves at each blade position
Threshold level for the number of cleaves made on each position before the AUTOCLEAVER
TM
automatically raises the blade to the
next position. Default value on the AUTOCLEAVER
TM
is 1000 cleaves.
